Salman Rahman, M.D.
Dr. Salman Rahman is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists. Dr. Rahman specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of retinal disease including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vascular diseases, retinal detachment, macular holes, and epiretinal membranes. His research interests include the development of novel devices for the treatment of retinal diseases.
Dr. Salman Rahman was born in Augusta, Georgia and grew up in Sugar Land, TX. He received his bachelor's degree from Rice University, graduating summa cum laude. He then obtained his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After completing an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Rahman did ophthalmology residency at Baylor College of Medicine's Cullen Eye Institute. Following residency, he completed a two-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Subsequently, he had an additional year of training in ocular oncology at University of California San Francisco.
In his free time, he enjoys traveling, watching movies, playing guitar, and spending time with his wife and two children.
