Sabari Arcot, O.D., F.A.A.O.

Dr. Sabari Arcot was born in India and moved to Houston, Texas when she was nine years old. After graduating from Houston Baptist University with a B.S in Biochemistry, she went on to complete her Doctorate of Optometry at University of Houston College of Optometry. While in optometry school, Dr. Arcot took part in leadership positions in various student organizations such as SVOSH (Student Volunteer Optometric Services for Humanity) and SPHVCA (Student Public Health Vision Care Association) to advocate for public awareness of various ocular conditions. In addition, Dr. Arcot was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honors society and graduated with honors.

After graduation, Dr. Arcot pursued a residency in cornea and contact lenses at University of Missouri – Saint Louis. During residency, she was exposed to variety of anterior segment conditions and was trained to fit patients in specialty contact lenses with conditions such as keratoconus, corneal grafts, corneal dystrophies, dry eye and much more. She also participated heavily in surgical co-management and had the opportunity to take part in lecturing and training optometric students in clinical and didactic settings. Shortly after residency, she became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association and Harris County Optometric Society.

Dr. Arcot specializes in eye health evaluations and treatment and management of ocular diseases, ranging from corneal diseases to anomalous retinal conditions. Dr. Arcot enjoys getting to know her patients as individuals and creating a customized treatment plan to address any concerns they may have. Her philosophy of care is to involve the patient in their care and ensuring they are well-informed about every aspect of their health.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cycling, spending time with family, and indulging in good food.
