About Dr. Soni:
Ruhi S. Soni, M.D. is a board-certified, comprehensive ophthalmologist and native Houstonian. After completing an engineering degree at Texas A&M University, she received her medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Subsequently, she completed her ophthalmology training at the Baylor College of Medicine.
Prior to joining Eye Specialists of Texas, Dr. Soni served north Houston in private practice, where she performed thousands of surgeries and procedures. She worked to restore vision and create life-long relationships with deserving families.
Dr. Soni treats patients 16 years & older for a variety of ophthalmoc conditions. She specializes in advanced cataract surgery techniques and eyelid procedures, including blepharoplasty, ptosis, entropion/ectropion repair, and brow ptosis. Dr. Soni performs many office-based procedures including glaucoma lasers, chemodenervation, and intravitreal injections. Dr. Soni prides herself on treating every patient like family. Healing illness and restoring vision is the passion of her life.
In her spare time, Dr. Soni enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, marathon running, the outdoors, cooking, and volunteering in the community. She serves as a guide for blind runners through the Eyecan Alliance. Dr. Soni also advocates for the needs of the visually impaired through The Lighthouse of Houston and her patients through the Texas Medical Association & Harris County Medical Society.
